As spring transitions to summer, clouds and shadows part to make way for the abundant sunshine. Likewise, part of the human experience is living through temporary times of darkness that are cast over us. These shadows are a natural rhythm of our personal lives, science, and medicine alike. Nevertheless, there exist rays of light that can bring us hope and joy even amidst the shadows. For this summer issue, we invite you to reflect on the sunbeams that shine through the shadows in your life.
